I love photography, well, I love the reaction of people to their photos.

 

Getting family photos done is becoming more popular. Photographers are becoming very popular, some are amazing, some not so, some are expensive, some are less expensive. It’s a minefield. Ask for a recommendation for a photographer and you will be given around 100 different answers.

 
 
 

So How Do You Choose?

  • I saw someone once request a recommendation for a photographer who was ‘decent, not cheap’… can you not be decent and cheap?
  • I aim to be affordable. I don’t want to make lots of money off of one photo session. I like repeat custom. I like customers who come back to me.
  • I want to photograph the engagement, the wedding, the pregnancy, the newborn, the 1st birthday cake smash, all the way through to baby number 2 or 18th birthdays.
  • I don’t pack my diary full so you have to squeeze into a 1/2 hour time slot. What if the baby is grizzly? What if your toddler just won’t keep still? I put aside extra time per session in case it needs to run over, at no extra cost.
  • I am open to suggestions and ideas. These are your images. Get on Pinterest, bombard me with photos and poses you’d like to try.
  • I love lifestyle photography. My favourite photos to take are of people being people, interacting with each other.
  • I don’t offer prints and canvasses as part of the original package because that’s how costs start creeping up. But I will offer as an after service so you can take the time to choose your prints and I will order them from the places I use, direct to your door.
  • I don’t hold your images hostage. If I’ve taken 100 great photos and I’ve taken the time to edit them then you are entitled to every single one of them.
  • I am not magic, if your partners/children do not wish to get their photos taken there is very little I can do to change that. I will certainly try my best. Bribery tends to work, bring sweets!
